ECHOES IN DEATH BY J.D. ROBB finds Eve Dallas standing for the dead once again.  This time, Eve and Roarke are coming home from a "do" and they come up on Daphne Strazza, beaten, raped and naked on a cold New York night. She takes Daphne to the ER and then she and Roarke make a visit to the woman's home and finds her murdered husband.  From this point,  Eve finds that that bodies are piling up and she and her team must stop the murderer/rapist before he can kill and rape again.

You'd think after 44 books in a series the author would be getting kind of stale ,but NOT MS ROBB.  The murder just keeps on coming and fans like me keep on enjoying the mystery and the characters that make the "in death" series page turners and must reads!

THE FIFTH ASSASSIN BY BRAD MELTZER

THE FIFTH ASSASSIN BY BRAD MELTZER is the second book in the Culper Ring.  The Culper Ring, first founded, if you will ,by General George Washington, consists of ordinary run of the mill citizens who spied for Washington  exists today, at least in Mr. Meltzer's today.  An action packed thriller the Ring is trying not only to protect the President from an assassin but figure out why and who is killing Clergy using the same methods and the same timing as those infamous figures in history who assassinated past Presidents. The story has many little subplots throughout that finishes in one great big huge ending that surprised even me.    The historical significance of not only the Culper Ring but the killings of our past Presidents and the story behind just the average deck of cards kept me not only reading the book but surfing the net .  Not only will the thriller fans love this book but it crosses into the historical fiction of our country's past.  This ones a keeper and a must read!

LAST HOPE ISLAND:BRITAIN, OCCUPIED EUROPE AND THE BROTHERHOOD THAT HELPED TURNED THE TIDE OF THE WAR BY LYNN OLSON

BRAVO! EXCELLENT!  A totally, will never forget book!  LAST HOPE ISLAND:BRITAIN, OCCUPIED EUROPE AND THE BROTHERHOOD THAT HELPED TURNED THE TIDE OF THE WAR BY LYNN OLSON, is an in depth non fiction of how the occupied countries leaders & citizens came together on the British shores to fight the Nazi's.  You get to meet, not only the famous, like Charles De Gaulle & Queen Wilhelmina but the not so famous, people like Andree de John who with her group of French people, took it upon themselves to bring Allied fighters out of German territory.  Like Jeanne Rousseau, the blond twenty four year old with a photographic memory who while flirting with German generals learned all they knew & passed it on to the Allies.  These people and thousands more, some just faceless but  fearless people risked their lives to fight Hitler and the Nazi's . 

I could not stop reading this book.  The people were brought alive right there in the pages.  The time, the history, the mistakes & bungles & the people who made history are right in this book.  The book is presented so you are not just reading dry facts, you are living the lives and the history of the people, places & events happening .  A great book!  If you are a history lover or WWII buff or just want a great non fiction book that takes a reader right into the heart of WWII you will love this book.

THE BACKUP ASSET BY LESLIE WOLFE

THE BACKUP ASSET BY LESLIE WOLFE is the third book in the Alex Hoffman series but it is the first book I have read.  The book is like riding a rollercoaster blindfolded, you never know when a twist or turn comes and when it does it blows your mind!
  I felt like I was reading headlines from the news the characters are so real,which I think scared me the most! I am definitely hooked and will be reading books one and two and waiting for the fourth in the series to come out.
