A CRY FOR JUSTICE BY STONE GRISSOM from the beginning captures you attention and does not let go for even one minute,or in this case one page!  The characters are so real, so in depth you think you are reading non fiction instead of fiction.  The plot grabs you and holds onto you and it does not let go until the very ending . 

Gavin Brady, fresh out of law school & having not even passed the BAR exams is hired by a very prestigious law firm. His very first week he gets handed what he thinks at first is a simple suit, a girl is shot to death by Samoan gang members and acquitted so he's supposed to go after the gun manufacturers .  Sounds routine? Nope, Gavin does his job too well (to impress the boss) and uncovers plots cooked up and covered up by the DA's office and cops.  The more Gavin digs, the more dangerous his life becomes. 

Mr Grissom has taken law degree and his journalistic talents and come up with one hell of a thriller!

The book includes everything from musical trivia like June 1st: the album "Sgt Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band's release date to politics , January 3rds Ronald Regan became Gov of California to the Vietnam War to the December 21st release of the Graduate and everything in between!

THE SEPARATISTS (NEWSMAKERS #3) BY LIS WIEHL  Dont be worried about this book being boring folks! Lis Wiehl takes you on a rollercoaster ride of a non stop story! Just when you think the book is predictable, Ms Wiehl takes you on another twist, another turn & you wonder if the main character is going to live thru it.  Just when you question whether you have a handle on the mystery of the story, MS Wiehl throws another wrench into the plot!  The chapters are short but the action and the story just keeps on going.  I'm hooked and when you read THE SEPARATISTS you will be too.

SUBHUMAN (UNIT 51) BY MICHAEL MCBRIDE is the first in the Unit 51 series.  The first half of the book slugs, and I mean slugs along.  The second half finally starts getting into the action when a group of scientists in the Arctic come across an alien civilization literally frozen in time.  If you can tolerate the first half of the book with the character formation and the scientific stuff then you are in for a thrill ride the second half.

KILLING JESUS: A HISTORY BY BILL O'REILLY.  Fact, fiction or a little of both?  Mr O'Reilly admits at the very beginning of this book that researching Jesus Christ proved to be very difficult. No YouTube videos no photo's no Twitter feeds so he took the biblical teachings and the research and the books of others (well documented in the back of the book) and tried to give the reader what it could have been like back when Jesus walked the roads.  I cant say whether this is true or false cause hey folks this is really AGO!  As to the quality of the book, like his other books in the series he has taken a historical figure and literally brought him to life in the pages.  I found this a very fast read and very engrossing and yes very violent  book but well worth the time to read in my opinion.

Women throughout history have had miscarriages, sadly it happens, but in AMERICAN HOLOCAUST it is being done on purpose.  Someone is killing women and causing miscarriages and it has to stop.
A group tries to find out who and why when  someone close bleeds to death during a wedding ceremony.   The FDA & CDC are also working on this but whoever has done this evil deed wants it quiet and will kill any and everyone who is working on the case dead!

Fast paced and almost to real scenarios make this book are great read.  I received this book free from LibraryThing in exchange for an honest review.

Even after 45 books, J.D Robb continues to bring fresh blood to her books and her characters.  Just when you know all to know about Eve and her circle something new pops up.  SECRETS IN DEATH shows there are still some life left to the characters and the stories!
