DO OR DIE BY SUZANNE BROCKMANN

DO OR DIE BY SUZANNE BROCKMANN is the first of this authors books I've read.  It was given to me by a friend who knows what I like to read.  The prologue ramped me up and at first I thought OMG I love this, but after that it took me a few chapters of reading to get me to wake up! In other words it was boring at first.  Keep reading  folks, the fireworks take awhile to burn!

Ian Dunn: ex SEAL, hot, handsome, thief(sometimes) & definitely a mystery is serving jail time for a crime he did not commit & the feds want him out of jail and into the cloak and dagger again. But here's the rub, Ian DOESN'T want out of jail.  Why?  Read DO OR DIE for yourself and figure that out!

13 HOURS THE INSIDE ACCOUNT OF WHAT REALLY HAPPENED IN BENGHAZI BY MITCHELL ZUCKOFF

13 HOURS:THE INSIDE ACCOUNT OF WHAT REALLY HAPPENED IN BENGHAZI BY MITCHELL ZUCKOFF has to be the most difficult book for me to review.  I wanted to read the book before seeing the movie so I did, in two nights.  Never in my life have I been so wanting a true account to be fiction as 13 HOURS.

Mr. Zuckoff did an excellent job and taking the reader(you and I) into the middle of how four Americans were slaughtered.  The anger & the pain of a group of men fighting, literally for their lives while people who were supposed to be tending to their safety sit in a meeting and watched the death and destruction via a drone.  Even now, I can remember the words of the communications person saying we are going to die here!  I think every American, whether Liberal or Conservative should see the movie or read this book! It made me laugh,it made me cry & it sure made me mad as hell to know the Americans in those compounds should have never died! The facts have been laid bare in 13 HOURS for all to see and I highly recommend EVERYONE read it!

ABOMINATION BY COLLEEN COBLE

ABOMINATION BY COLLEEN COBLE is the first book I have read by the author.  It has its good points and bad points.  Lets start with the good.  The first few pages were enough to grab me and keep me reading .  The plot itself was a page turner .I got so caught up in the story I missed my evening phone call to my mom that's how deep into it I was!  Now the bad,it only took me three chapters to figure out who the "woman & child by the side of the road" was.  And Andy, the policeman really needed to be made a little more lifelike.  A bit more research into police would help with that.  Other than those few negative points I really got into the book.  The serial killer was perfect, take the face off and have a half eaten sandwich with the bodies? Really creepy there I loved it!  I will be looking for more of MS COBLE'S books you can count on that!

THE ULTIMATUM DICK WOLF

Hang on folks,Jeremy Fisk is back and the trouble starts on the first page of DICK WOLF'S THE ULTIMATUM!  If it isn't the drug cartel gunning for him then its the reporter dogging him or worse the terrorist killing people randomly!

Fast paced and rarely a dull moment, THE ULTIMATUM takes readers straight into today's headlines with serial killers, terrorists and the drug cartels,  among others!  Fasten your seatbelts before reading THE ULTIMATUM because this one is a rollercoaster ride!

I received this book from goodreads in exchange for a review & believe me I did NOT want it to end!

BLOODY ROYAL PRINTS BY REBA WHITE WILLIAMS

I do not like to make bad reviews on books but I promised a fair review so here goes:  BLOODY ROYAL PRINTS BY REBA WHITE WILLIAMS is the first book in the series I have read & if this is the sum of the series it will probably be the last I read.  The good news is you get two mysteries for the price of one. The bad news is it was mostly so obvious as to the answers of the mysteries it was a waste of my time!  I gave it two stars because of the two mysteries and I hate to give one star!

LADD SPRINGS BY DIANNE VENETTA

LADD SPRINGS BY DIANNE VENETTA is part contemporary romance, part mystery & I enjoyed it!  Set in the area along the Tennessee/North Carolina (I visit there every year so I know what its like)  you can see and feel the wilderness Delaney Wilkins and her family live in.  The book starts out pretty slow but it ramps up to a point where it ends being a contemporary romance and morphed into a pretty good mystery.

THE PASTORS KIDS BY CONNIE KRONLOKKEN

THE PASTORS KIDS BY CONNIE KRONLOKKEN is set in a small town in the 1960's focusing on the lives of three children Line, Marty & Paul, each growing up and living their lives very different but together.  Line who is the fighter of the weak, Marty who is pretty but wants to be something else & Paul who fights polio and sees the world as God sees it,full of nature and wonder.

I grew up in the 60's just like them , times of backyard fun, neighborhood friends & family.  Like them my family was struggling and I was wearing hand me downs & like them I had family &  I really identified with each of the children.  I really looked at this book as kind of my fictional family. The author made them so real you have to remind yourself this is fiction.

ON TARGET BY MARK GREANEY

ON TARGET BY MARK GREANEY is the second book in the Gray Man series but it is the first of the series I have read.  I found it to be Very graphic in detail,no blood or gore spared here folks!  A bit dark for my tastes but I actually did like the book.

Court Gentry(the gray man) former CIA operative turned assassin.  He has taken his CIA skills and is making a hefty profit from them. Now the very people who turned on him,the CIA wants him for a job:not as a killer but as a kidnapper. Will Court do their bidding or not?
