THE ART OF THE DEAL BY DONALD J TRUMP

TRUMP: THE ART OF THE DEAL BY DONALD TRUMP: Ok,first off I'm reviewing the contents of the book not doing a political commercial either way!  With that being said, the book I found pretty interesting.  Yes, its written back in the 1980's  when Trump was younger and not in his present position.  As for the content, its told by Trump and how he became rich poor and rich again. I read this book now because I wanted an insight into the person Trump & how the man thinks and what he believes.  THE ART OF THE DEAL showed just exactly that: what you see then and now is what you get!  If you want an insight into the real Donald Trump I suggest you read the ART OF THE DEAL & maybe you will figure out, like me what he's doing & why!

BABY DOLL BY HOLLIE OVERTON

BABY DOLL BY HOLLIE OVERTON is not the thriller I'd hoped it would be.  The one good thing about it I can honestly say about it was that it was over quickly, that it read fast.  That being said, the layout & the whole concept of the book was lost.  Starting out with the "ending" where Lily and her child get away was I think the downfall of the book.  The thrill was gone by then.  The chapters were short, chopped up really, and switching from person to person in this chopped up way turned me off the book completely.  I saw the end coming so there was not a thrilling end to it. Desperately seeking a thrill in this book was a total waste of my time. As much as I loathe to give a bad review it is an honest review of this book.  I received this book free from Goodreads  in exchange for a review.

THE BIG BOOK OF RANDOM FACTS VOLUME 2: BILL O'NEILL is just that 1000 interesting facts for people like me who are addicted to trivia and little factoids.  My brother got me hooked on trivia when I was younger and I have since read numerous trivia/fact books.  This one reads quite fast .  Little facts like: those centipedes in your basement eats spiders and roaches.  If you are a fan of trivia/fact books or just want a quick read in the doc's office read this book.

STALKED BY ELIZABETH HEITER

STALKED BY ELIZABETH HEITER: is the fourth in the series of the profiler books.  This is the first book of the series I have read.  I usually find it somewhat difficult stepping into the middle of a series but not with this one.  The very first thing the author did was to recap what the plot line was from books 1-3 which was a huge help in getting up to speed with the series and its characters.  A huge plus there on that point!  Second, it really wasnt a big deal stepping into the series since the author did a great job of the little fill ins along the way.  Great character development, good plot & just enough twists in the story to keep me interested all the way thru.  If you really go for the plot within a plot within a plot type of book, you will like STALKED BY ELIZABETH HEITER.

I received this book free from goodreads in exchange for a review.

MISSISSIPPI BLOOD

MISSISSIPPI BLOOD BY GREG ILES is the third in the book of trilogies starting with Natchez Burning, & The Bone Tree.  In all honesty this is the first book of Mr.Iles I have read, so in other words I started at the ending.  It doesnt matter to me though. MISSISSIPPI BLOOD is so fast paced and so page turning that I picked up the nuances of the trilogy right away.

Set in Natchez, Mississippi (the authors home town)  Penn Gage and his family are battling forces of evil that have been around decades. These forces are men who feels its justified now & back in the 60's the KKK or in this case a very radical version the Double Eagles to beat, kill, rape African Americans & any whites who stand with them or love them.
Lives are at stake in Mississippi Blood, lives of Penn Gage's family, friends & yes Penn Gage himself.  Lives of the past, lives of the present & the future. Penn Gage must not only try to save his father from death but keep away from and help capture the worst of the worst member of the Double Eagles.

Its never easy to walk right into a series or in this instance a trilogy, but Mr Iles writes so well that I did not have to read the first two books even though I plan to .  I had no trouble enjoying MISSISSIPPI BLOOD to the very last page.  The book is fairly long, over six hundred pages but dont be daunted because of it.  This book reads so fast and the pace stays so strong you will be done before you know it.

MURDER ON THE SERPENTINE BY ANNE PERRY

MURDER ON THE SERPENTINE BY ANNE PERRY:  I have been an avid fan of the Thomas & Charlotte Pitt novels since the very beginning & while some of the series books have lagged in plot this one I feel is up to Perry's usual standards of a great mystery/historical fiction.

Thomas Pitt now head of the Special Branch is commanded to attend Queen Victoria, once a young vibrant Queen, now much older and still in mourning over the death of Albert.  Victoria, worried about her son, the Prince of Wales & the heir apparent to the throne, "asks" Pitt to investigate the death of one of her friends who died mysteriously while gathering information on the people that Prince Edward calls his friends.  Pitt must accept this as a command feels this is not part of his job at Special Branch but hey its the queen so he must obey.  To Thomas's surprise, while he is investigating, finds that yes it is his job.

Ms Perry in MURDER ON THE SERPENTINE, has brought Thomas & Charlotte and all the rest of the familiar characters back up to standard to make this who done it & why a really good read for the fans of the Thomas & Charlotte readers.

I received this book free from NETGALLEY in exchange for an open and honest review.
