MINE: ORIGINS BY WILLIAM J DAVIS

MINE:ORIGINS BY WILLIAM J DAVIS is a fast paced novel.  Even though it is fairly short for a novel , every page is a thrill ride.  Great , believable characters and a plot that never stops.

I recieved this e book free from goodreads in exchange for a review.

TOUCAN KEEP A SECRET BY DONNA ANDREWS

TOUCAN KEEP A SECRET BY DONNA ANDREWS is the 23rd in the series with Meg Langslow , and her wacky family.  Meg is helping out the pastor of her church , who is pregnant and on bedrest.  Meg is tasked with making sure the church is locked up and the temporarily residing toucan is fed and settled in for the night.  Meg is just finishing her tasks when she notices a light on in the crypt . She decides to investigate before calling the police, which of course leads to the latest murder.

I have enjoyed every one of the series. This one however, runs a little to the dull , same old thing ,side of the series, which is why I only gave it a three star .   I know the author can do better but I guess every author has a bad book or two.

LIVING IN THE MIDDLE BY A.ROBERT ALLEN

LIVING IN THE MIDDLE BY A.ROBERT ALLEN is set in the early 1900's.  The story focus is on 18 year old Jimmy Montgomery, who, after 18 years of being "white" finds out that low and behold he is not white.  He also is not black. Jimmy is "in the middle. "  Jimmy finds out his father, whom is white, had him but a black mother.  Jimmy now, old enough for college has to decide what he wants to be , white or black.  Jimmy decides to be both.  Being "both"  can be very dangerous for him.

This is the first of Mr.Allen's books I have read and I enjoyed it .   It does give you an insight as to what a person like Jimmy had to deal with.  Keeping his secret at school and being white and living in a black community when he was not in class and trying to learn to be black after all the years growing up white kept the story  moving.

i recieved this book free from the author in exchange for a honest review.

ORDER TO KILL MITCH RAPP (VINCE FLYNN) BY KYLE MILLS

ORDER TO KILL (MITCH RAPP,# 15 ) BY KYLE MILLS is only the second Mitch Rapp book I've read. The first was written by VINCE FLYNN who has since passed away.  Comparing the two authors I have to commend  Mr.Mills as he has captured the Mitch Rapp character very well.  In reading Mr.Flynn's book and reading Mr.Mills book I see very little difference in the characters.   The plot is fast paced and the characters act and do just like Mr Flynn's novels.

In ORDER TO KILL you get non stop action from page one to the last page in the book.  Rapp and his team goes after not only ISIS but Russians to stop them from blowing dirty bombs.
From Pakistan to Saudi Arabia, Mitch must stop the plot before ISIS/Russia cause a nuclear disaster somewhere in the world.

If you are into the fast paced, special ops, or just a great read, I highly recommend ORDER TO KILL.
