I am a huge fan of Kevin Scott Olson's character Michael Quinn! So when the Mr.Olson offered this free copy of QUINN: THE SHORT STORIES VOLUME 1, I was more than pleased to get it.
Short stories or full length novels, when it comes to a good spy read, you can count on Mr. Olson's character,Michael Quinn to have plenty of action. With this book , you get short ,short stories and long short stories. Just when you think nothing is going to come of the story a bad guy shows up and Michael Quinn goes to work.
Like I said before,if you are into the spy genre then you will like KEVIN SCOTT OLSON'S MICHAEL QUINN CHARACTER.

DARK CHOCOLATES BY JEREMY BROCK
What's the first thing you think of when the words dark chocolates come up? For me, dark chocolates is my favorite snack. For Jeremy Brock, DARK CHOCOLATES is the title of his short story novel. This isnt a sweet treat ,unless you love the realm of weird. Various short stories with dark and diabolical twist and turns make up these very good and delectable stories.

AXE MURDERERS 6 HORRIFIC TRUE CRIMES STORIES BY KURTIS-GILES VEYSEY
AXE MURDERERS: 6 HORRIFIC TRUE CRIMES STORIES BY KURTIS-GILES VEYSEY hits about a 20 on my totally creeped out meter! The book is relative short, but the fear that it instilled still lingers in the light of day. Just knowing that the six stories are non fiction is enough to keep my door securely locked, bolted and barricaded! No gruesome detail is spared in the accounting of these six deeds. I think the one that really scared the daylights out of me was the first one. What a great story to start such of creepy book.

DARK JUSTICE BY JACK HIGGINS
DARK JUSTICE BY JACK HIGGINS is the first of the series I have read. I can tell you now, it wont be the last . The fast pace of the book, as well as the twists and turns in the plot make this a must read for anyone who likes the thrill of spy novels.
Sean Dillon,in his 12th book of the series is after a Russian/Muslim group who are plotting to kill not only the President but the leaders of the free world, and they have already tried to assassinate the President!!
Loved Dark Justice. Dillion is the type of character who has zero PC and plenty of guts and skill. He will stop and nothing, even murder to protect the Prime Minister and the free world leakers from the Russians and the Muslims.

1861 CIVIL WAR BEGINNINGS BY NICK VULICH
1861:CIVIL WAR BEGINNINGS BY NICK VULICH,is a very short, fast read. Unlike your typical non fiction, Mr Vulich writes the book in a way where the reader feels like he's just sitting right there, in a comfortable chair, telling you about pre civil war stories.
I love the way he describes some of Mr.Lincoln's story telling, using the word "ribald" in places. You can almost hear the humor and laughter from Mr.Vulich
. The book is chocked full of history, a kinda behind the scenes stories. One, for example, is about Mr. Pinkerton, who in Baltimore is trying to get a handle on the assassination attempts of the President elect before Lincoln arrives .
I totally enjoyed the content and the way it was presented. It makes the experience of history more pleasurable when it comes in the style and writing of the author.
